Testosterone therapy for prostate cancer patients: a Game-Changer for quality of life?

NCT ID NCT06733350

First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is safe and beneficial for men with low-risk prostate cancer who are on active surveillance (watchful waiting). Many doctors avoid TRT in these patients due to fear it might make the cancer grow. The trial will track cancer progression, quality of life, and whether men stay on active surveillance. About 600 men with low testosterone and localized prostate cancer will participate.
