First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested whether testosterone therapy could improve pain, physical function, and quality of life in 36 women aged 60 and older with chronic back pain, opioid use, and low testosterone. Participants received either testosterone or a placebo to compare effects on pain tolerance and daily living. The goal was to find a new way to manage pain without relying solely on opioids.
