UK trial repurposes melanoma drugs to fight rare cancers

Summary

This trial is testing if a combination of two drugs, already approved for a type of skin cancer, can help control other rare cancers that share the same genetic change (a BRAF V600 mutation). It aims to enroll 30 adult patients with various rare or uncommon cancers to see if the treatment shrinks tumors and provides lasting benefit. The goal is to provide a new treatment option for cancers that currently have few choices.
