First seen Aug 21, 2026 · Last updated Aug 21, 2026

Summary

This trial tests whether a 12-week telerehabilitation program—combining aerobic walking and progressive relaxation exercises—can improve blood sugar control, stress, anxiety, and physical function in adults with type-2 diabetes, both with and without a prior COVID-19 infection. Participants will follow the program at home and be monitored remotely. The study aims to see if this approach can help manage diabetes and reduce the negative effects of COVID-19 on chronic disease.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
A 12-week telerehabilitation program combining aerobic walking and progressive relaxation exercises
What this could lead to
If effective, this program could offer a practical, home-based way to improve blood sugar control, stress, and anxiety in people with type-2 diabetes, especially those recovering from COVID-19.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 30 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The program relies on self-reported exercise and may not be feasible for everyone.
