First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether a program that combines digital health coaching for patients and support for clinics can help low-income people with diabetes better manage their condition. Researchers will enroll 600 adults with uncontrolled diabetes or high blood pressure. The goal is to see if this approach improves blood sugar levels and increases use of patient portals.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that combining patient coaching with clinic support helps low-income patients better manage diabetes and use telehealth more effectively.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage study with 600 participants, so results may not apply to all populations. The intervention relies on patient engagement, which may vary.
