NCT ID NCT07335926
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether doing Pilates online with a live instructor could help women with painful periods. Thirty-four women with primary dysmenorrhea took part in 16 supervised sessions over eight weeks. Researchers measured pain, other symptoms, and trunk muscle endurance to see if the program made a difference.

Active substance
Tele-Pilates exercise program
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a non-drug, at-home option to ease period pain and improve daily comfort for women with primary dysmenorrhea.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed trial with only 34 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The effect may be modest and not replace standard pain relief.
