Mpox drug trial ends early: did tecovirimat help?

Summary
This study tested whether the drug tecovirimat can safely treat mpox and speed up recovery. About 719 people with mpox took either tecovirimat or a placebo. The main goal was to see if the drug helped skin lesions heal faster and reduced pain. The trial was stopped early, and results are still being analyzed.
