First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests if a painless electrical stimulation treatment, called TEAS, given before lung surgery can prevent the common shoulder pain that often follows. About 216 adults having keyhole lung surgery will be randomly assigned to receive TEAS or standard care. Researchers will compare how much shoulder pain and nausea each group experiences after surgery.
