Brain zapping after symptom trigger shows promise for tough OCD
NCT ID NCT07429500
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether provoking OCD symptoms right before a gentle brain stimulation technique (tDCS) can boost its effects. About 178 adults with treatment-resistant OCD will receive either tDCS alone or tDCS preceded by symptom provocation. The goal is to see if the combined approach leads to greater symptom reduction.
