First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests a way to make stem cell transplants safer for people with blood cancers or immune disorders who don't have a fully matched donor. By removing certain immune cells from the donated cells, doctors hope to lower the risk of graft-versus-host disease, a serious complication. The approach uses a half-matched family donor and aims to let patients avoid long-term anti-rejection drugs. The trial is early-stage and includes both children and adults.
