First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula can improve muscle strength and bone health in pre-frail adults aged 65 and older, compared to the supplement HMB. Ninety participants will take either the TCM formula or HMB for 24 weeks. The main goal is to see if handgrip strength improves after 12 weeks, with additional checks on muscle mass and bone density.
