First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This pilot study tests whether TCM Daoyin, a traditional Chinese movement and breathing therapy, can improve lung function and exercise ability in 60 adults aged 40-75 who are at risk for early chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Participants will be randomly assigned to receive Daoyin training or standard care, and researchers will measure changes in lung function, walking distance, and immune markers. The goal is to see if this gentle practice can help slow or prevent lung decline.
