New TB vaccine put to the test with aerosol exposure

Summary

This study tests the safety of a new tuberculosis (TB) vaccine called ID93/GLA-SE. Forty-eight healthy adults, some previously vaccinated with BCG and some not, will receive the new vaccine and then be exposed to a harmless form of TB bacteria through an aerosol mist. Researchers will monitor for side effects and measure immune responses to see how well the vaccine works.
