Summary

This study follows 300 health workers in Cape Town, South Africa, who are at high risk of tuberculosis (TB) infection. Researchers will use a combination of existing and new tests every three months to track immune responses at the time of infection. The goal is to better understand why some people with TB infection develop active, life-threatening TB disease while others do not, which could improve prevention strategies.
