First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether an ultrasound-guided TAP block (a type of nerve block) can reduce pain and improve stability during a heart valve replacement procedure called TAVI. Fifty adults undergoing elective TAVI received either the block or standard care. The goal was to see if better pain control leads to fewer complications and higher satisfaction for both patients and doctors.
