First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving elderly patients with kidney disease a personalized amount of fluids, guided by a lung water monitor, can prevent acute kidney injury after a heart catheterization. Researchers will enroll 320 participants aged 60 and older who have both heart disease and mild-to-moderate kidney problems. The goal is to see if this tailored approach is safer and more effective than standard care.
