Summary
This study looked at how blood vessel cells and immune cells talk to each other in people with systemic sclerosis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes skin hardening and organ damage. Researchers collected blood samples and skin biopsies from 350 participants to measure a specific immune marker called OX40L. The goal was to better understand the disease process, not to test a new treatment.
