First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a patient's own fat cells (called stromal vascular fraction) during rotator cuff surgery can improve healing. 56 adults aged 45-65 with chronic tears are enrolled. The cells are collected from belly fat during surgery and injected into the torn tendon and muscle to promote repair.
