Can a few days of radiation before sarcoma surgery improve outcomes?

Summary
This study looks at people with soft tissue sarcoma in the arms, legs, or trunk. It tests whether a very short course of radiation before surgery is safe and works well. About 142 adults will be randomly assigned to have surgery either 1 week or 4 weeks after radiation. The main goal is to see how many have serious side effects within 90 days after surgery.
