Pee power: simple urine test could revolutionize heart failure care

Summary

This study tests whether measuring sodium in urine can help doctors give the right amount of diuretics (water pills) to people hospitalized with worsening heart failure. About 260 adults will be split into two groups: one gets standard care, the other gets treatment guided by urine sodium levels and ultrasound scans. The goal is to see if this approach clears fluid buildup faster, reduces the need for stronger treatments, and helps patients go home sooner.
