New app aims to help veterans at risk of suicide by teaching them to recognize their feelings
NCT ID NCT05724953
Summary
This study tested a new program for veterans with serious mental illness who are at risk of suicide. The program combined weekly group education with a smartphone app designed to help people better recognize and understand their own emotions, a skill linked to lower suicide risk. The goal was to see if this approach was practical and acceptable to veterans, and if it could improve social functioning and reduce thoughts of suicide.
