Study probes why strokes strike despite blood thinners
NCT ID NCT04607070
Summary
This study looked at why some people who take newer blood thinners (NOACs) for an irregular heartbeat still have strokes. Researchers reviewed the medical records of 91 Chinese patients to understand the causes, patient characteristics, and treatment outcomes. The goal was to gather knowledge to help prevent these strokes and guide better care for future patients.
