Summary

This trial is testing if a common emergency clot-busting treatment for stroke is safe and effective for people who take a specific type of blood thinner (Factor Xa inhibitors). Currently, guidelines often prevent these patients from receiving this treatment due to bleeding concerns. The study will compare recovery and bleeding risks in 300 stroke patients who either receive the clot-busting drug or the current standard care. If safe, it could change treatment guidelines and help many more stroke patients.
