Zap and delay: radiation may buy time for cancer patients

NCT ID NCT02756793

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether giving precise, high-dose radiation to a small number of growing cancer spots can help people with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer stay stable longer. About 90 adults whose cancer has started to grow in just a few places while on standard treatment will either continue their usual care or also receive radiation to those spots. The goal is to see if this approach delays the next overall cancer progression.
