First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a special home care program helps people with a new stoma (a surgical opening on the belly) recover better after colorectal cancer surgery. About 98 adults who had a stoma created will get extra support and teaching to manage their stoma at home. The goal is to see if this reduces complications and unplanned return trips to the hospital.
