Lymph node injection shows promise for skin cancer spread

NCT ID NCT05393713

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This early-phase trial tested a drug called STI-3031, given directly into the lymph nodes or vessels using a special device, for people with in-transit melanoma (cancer that has spread through lymph channels but not yet to distant organs). The main goals were to find the safest dose and check for side effects. Only 3 people took part before the study was stopped early, so results are very limited.
