First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests a new approach for people with Crohn's disease who have complex anal fistulas that didn't get better with standard treatments. Researchers will inject donor stem cells directly into the fistula to see if it's safe and can help close the tunnel. Nine adults will take part, and the study will track side effects and healing over six months.
