Experimental stem cell therapy offers hope for young scleroderma patients

Summary
This study tests a stem cell transplant using the patient's own blood cells for young people (ages 8-24) with severe scleroderma that hasn't improved with standard treatments. The goal is to see if this high-dose therapy is safe and can control the disease better than current medications. The trial is currently recruiting 8 participants.
