Own stem cells tested against Parkinson's in new trial
NCT ID NCT04928287
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested whether a person's own stem cells (called HB-adMSCs) could help control Parkinson's disease symptoms. 24 adults with early to moderate Parkinson's received either stem cells or a placebo over 32 weeks. The main goal was to see if the treatment improved daily living and movement, while checking for safety. This is a disease control approach, not a cure, as ongoing management is still needed.
