Heart repair breakthrough: stem cells injected during surgery in major trial
NCT ID NCT07496372
Summary
This study is testing whether injecting lab-grown heart muscle cells directly into the heart during bypass surgery can help people with severe heart failure. Participants will have surgery and either receive the stem cell injection or not, followed by medication to prevent rejection. The main goal is to see if this treatment improves how far patients can walk and is safe over 12 months.
