Cholesterol drug may fight Crohn's complications

Summary
This early-stage trial tests whether statins, a common cholesterol medicine, can prevent strictures (narrowing) in the gut for adults with Crohn's disease. About 20 participants will take either statins or a placebo daily for 6-12 months after surgery. Researchers will check for stricture formation using a colonoscopy and track symptoms through questionnaires and monthly calls.
