NCT ID NCT06453928

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study aims to see if a hybrid closed-loop insulin pump (a smart insulin pump) can help adults with poorly controlled type 1 diabetes (A1c >8.5%) from diverse backgrounds. The study will enroll 40 participants from Los Angeles who do not currently use an insulin pump. The goal is to test whether it is possible to run a larger trial in this high-need population and to understand what helps or hinders effective use of the technology.
