Summary
This study tests a 15-week shared reading program called Sit Together and Read (STAR) for children ages 4 to 5 with developmental language disorder. Caregivers are guided to read with their child using specific techniques to build print and letter knowledge. The study also looks at whether small rewards or encouraging texts help caregivers stick with the program. Children's literacy skills will be tracked for up to two years after the program ends.
