Zap the spine, stop the dizzy drops: new hope for spinal injury blood pressure woes
NCT ID NCT05725499
Summary
This study is testing a non-invasive method to help people with chronic spinal cord injury who experience dangerous drops in blood pressure when they sit up, a condition causing dizziness and fatigue. Researchers will use gentle electrical stimulation on the skin over the spine while participants lie on a tilting table, aiming to find the best settings to keep blood pressure stable. The goal is to see if this stimulation can prevent the sudden dizziness and improve daily life for those affected.
