First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Spinal reflex operant down conditioning (behavioral training)

What this could lead to

If it works, this training could reduce leg spasticity and improve walking speed and distance for people with spinal cord injury.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study with only 25 participants. The training requires 45 visits over 6 months, and results may not apply to everyone with SCI.
