Spinal stimulation study seeks to rewire nerves after injury

NCT ID NCT05472584

First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at how spinal cord stimulation combined with training changes the way nerves communicate in people with spinal cord injuries. Researchers will measure brain-to-muscle signals and reaction times in 120 participants to understand how these changes might improve movement. The goal is to learn more about nerve plasticity, not to provide a treatment.
