Summary

This study tests whether a spinal cord stimulator — a device that sends mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord — can help people with long-term bladder and bowel problems after a spinal cord injury. Ten adults with injuries older than 6 months will have the device implanted and be followed for 6 months. The goal is to see if it improves their ability to urinate and have bowel movements, and possibly even walking.
