Friends helping friends: new study uses social circles to fight HIV and addiction

Summary

This study tests a program called LINKED that uses social networks to encourage people who inject drugs to start HIV prevention pills (PrEP) and medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD). About 398 participants will be split into two groups to see if the program works better than standard care. The goal is to reduce HIV risk and support recovery through trusted relationships.
