First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study examined whether smartphone addiction is connected to sleep problems and higher body weight in children ages 8 to 10. Researchers measured sleep habits, body mass index, and smartphone addiction scores in 160 overweight or obese children. The goal was to better understand these relationships, not to test a treatment.
