GPS for needles: new tech aims to pinpoint Hard-to-Find tumors
NCT ID NCT00102544
Summary
This study is testing a new tracking system that works like a mini-GPS inside a needle. It aims to help doctors more accurately guide needles to hard-to-find tumors during biopsy or ablation procedures, using a weak magnetic field. The research will see if this 'smart needle' can improve placement accuracy compared to standard imaging alone.
