NCT ID NCT04992611

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looked at how the timing of sleep affects what teenagers eat. Researchers wanted to understand why getting more sleep helps some teens (morning types) eat fewer calories and less sugary foods, but doesn't help others (night owls). The goal is to use this knowledge to prevent obesity and long-term health problems. 190 healthy teens aged 14-18 took part.
