Sleep your way slim: new study tests sleep coaching for overweight teens
NCT ID NCT07255274
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether teaching teens with overweight or obesity how to sleep better can help them lose more weight when combined with standard diet and exercise advice. About 126 teens aged 13 to 17 who have poor sleep will join. Half will get usual care, and the other half will also get sleep coaching from a psychologist. The goal is to see if the sleep-focused group has greater reductions in body fat and BMI after 6 months.
