NCT ID NCT07457476
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a sleep education and hygiene program can improve sleep in young male soccer players aged 16-19. Fifty-two players from an academy will either receive sleep tips and access to their sleep data or continue as usual. Researchers will measure changes in sleep duration and quality using wrist-worn activity trackers.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple, non-drug way to improve sleep and reduce fatigue in young athletes.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 52 participants. The results may not apply to other groups, and the program might not lead to lasting sleep changes.
