First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a program called SHINE to see if it could help high school students use more sunscreen and avoid tanning. Over 2,200 students from 30 Utah high schools took part. Half the schools got the SHINE program, and the other half got standard sun safety lessons. The goal was to see if the program led to healthier sun habits and fewer sunburns.
