One big dose may beat many: new palliative radiotherapy trial

NCT ID NCT04649125

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares a single, higher-dose palliative radiotherapy session to the usual 5-10 sessions for people with metastatic cancer. The goal is to see if one strong dose can keep symptoms away longer, up to 12 months. About 100 participants will be enrolled to measure how long the benefit lasts and how practical the single-dose approach is.
