This study tests whether orthodontic brackets coated with silver nanoparticles can prevent enamel demineralization—the earliest stage of tooth decay—in people getting fixed braces. Sixteen participants scheduled for premolar extractions as part of their orthodontic treatment will receive both coated and standard brackets on different teeth. After one month, the extracted teeth are examined to compare enamel health around each bracket type.

Inclusion Criteria: * Patients scheduled for fixed orthodontic treatment requiring premolar extraction * No history of previous orthodontic treatment done * Intact enamel surface of the premolars to be extracted Exclusion Criteria: * Non-extraction cases * Patients with previously done orthodontic treatment * Enamel surface defects on the premolars to be extracted(caries, hypoplasia, cracks etc.)
