Could a simple Clot-Buster save thousands of stroke patients on blood thinners?
NCT ID NCT06878066
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether stroke patients who take a type of blood thinner called FXa inhibitors can safely receive a standard clot-busting drug (IVT). Current guidelines say no, due to bleeding risk, but new evidence suggests it may be safe. The trial will compare recovery and bleeding rates in 300 patients who either get IVT or standard care, potentially changing treatment guidelines.
