NCT ID NCT05705479

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares two common surgeries for people who have repeated shoulder dislocations. One surgery repairs the torn ligament and may add a tendon fill (Bankart + Remplissage), while the other moves a piece of bone to block dislocation (Latarjet). The goal is to see which approach leads to better shoulder function and fewer repeat dislocations over two years. The trial involves 114 adults aged 18 to 50 with a history of at least two dislocations and some bone loss.
