New shoulder brace could speed up recovery after surgery
NCT ID NCT07644624
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares two ways to immobilize the shoulder after surgery for instability: a standard sling and a dynamic brace that allows some movement. Researchers want to see which approach helps with early recovery and healing. The trial will include 40 adults undergoing arthroscopic shoulder stabilization.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Dynamic shoulder brace (medi® Shoulder action brace) vs. conventional fabric arm sling
What this could lead to
If the dynamic brace works better, it could lead to faster and more comfortable recovery after shoulder surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study with only 40 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The brace might not improve healing or could cause discomfort.
