Summary
This study is observing about 1,950 emergency patients with suspected sepsis to see if new blood tests (like calprotectin and bacterial DNA tests) can detect infections faster and more accurately than current methods. The goal is to find better ways to diagnose sepsis and tailor care to each patient. No new treatments are being tested.
